Religious are called to be a model of the perfect Church. This is expressed in Acts 4:32 through a common way of life. The most important aspect was not the sharing of possessions, but the unity of vision which it created. We want to be as free from self-attachment as we can. As we share all things with our Brothers, and strive to have the “same mind” in Christ, our communion will increase. In order for us to resemble the early Church, we have chosen to lay our lives before the altar of God and our Brothers.
