Over thirty members of the Catholic Center at NU spent their Spring Break in Waveland, Mississippi assisting hurricane victims. In addition to all the service they offered, their peace and joy in the Lord helped transform the hearts of those who are still in need.
One of our former students at Boston University was featured in the school’s recent alumni magazine. In an article called Prayer is Back, Renee Vyhanek witnessed impressively about her faith to thousands of alumni worldwide.
Every fall semester prompts us to try creative ways of reaching new and un-churched students. This is the second year we’ve done a Texas Hold’em Poker Night (fear not - there's no gambling). At NU 80 students participated, most of them new. It was so successful that many students waited an hour beforehand to play, and we had to turn away about 70 students because there was no more room! Elsewhere, BU and FSU ran a popular Googa Mooga event (don’t even ask!). Pray that these new students keep coming around.
